About Debra

In November 2022, I lost my husband suddenly to a heart attack. He was just 50, fit, healthy, and full of life. If you had asked him whether his affairs were in order, he would have smiled and said, “Don’t worry, nothing’s going to happen to me.” But life had other plans. And in the aftermath, I experienced first-hand the emotional and practical chaos that unfolds when life is not prepared for.
In the days and weeks that followed, I found myself lost in paperwork, unsure where things were or what to do next all while trying to cope with overwhelming grief. It was a tough, lonely journey.
Out of that pain, I created a simple document for my children, one place for all the key details of our life, should anything ever happen to me. I updated my Will to protect their inheritance and set up Lasting Powers of Attorney for all of us, as they are both over 18, so that whatever happens, we can always make the right decisions for one another.
Since then, I have seen others go through the same struggles, trying to figure out everything at the worst possible time. That is when I decided, no one should have to face that added stress in the middle of grief.
This is why Your Life List was born.
As a qualified estate planner, I now help others do the same, drafting the right legal documents, guiding those closest to you through the process, and giving them confidence that everything is in place when it matters most.
Your Life List is not just paperwork, it is peace of mind. It is a simple, secure way to get organised, safeguard what matters, and support those closest to you when they need it most.
